Teach It Don’t Preach It was founded by teenager Dylan Palladino in June 2008 as a way to help raise funds for schools and other non-profits, and at the same time to educate people about the wonderful effects for the earth when they choose to shop with reusable bags. Dylan, age 16 at the time, approached his parents with the concept, and without much convincing, received full support.
The idea for incorporating earth-friendly products into school fundraising programs developed naturally as Dylan helped his Mom on numerous occasions grocery shopping. Jacquelyn is a big fan of reusable bags and Dylan began to wonder why more people didn’t use them. After doing a little research, he realized that most people did want to help the Earth, but usually just did not have the reusable bags in the car when shopping. Dylan’s idea was to sell family packs of 5 bags so people would always have some bags in the car while shopping.
Teach It Don’t Preach ItTM is committed to educating students about the importance of being aware of the everyday choices we make and how these decisions impact our Earth. By doing what we can, when we can, each of us is able to make a difference.
Dylan leaves in Pacific Palisades, California with his parents Jim and Jacquelyn, and twin brothers Jack, and Liam.
